Participants

Application Form
The Application Form is available online. Entry forms are also available at the Bluemont Community Center, and will be available on the day of the race at Great Country Farms at 7am.

Registration
Pre-registration is $17.00 and must be postmarked by Friday, September 11. Thereafter and on race day the fee will be $21.00. Race day registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:00 am race day, at our new location, Great Country Farms. The award ceremony will be at the same location. A Bluemont Race Day t-shirt will be provided to all registrants.

Race Start
The race will begin at 8:00 am, Saturday, September 19.

Course
Attention Runners! (June 2009) We have a new course:

The course is 6.2 miles of country running, with minimal elevation loss or gain.

There will be three (3) water stations, as well as water, fruit, bagels (and restrooms) at start and finish lines. As well, the course will be properly marked and there will be volunteers at appropriate spots to stop auto traffic and provide direction as needed. We are excited about our new layout.

Awards
The 1st and 2nd place finishers in the Men's and Women's Open Division will receive local, handmade pottery as trophies.

Commemorative Bluemont Fair mugs will be presented to the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

Volunteers

Volunteers needed on Friday afternoon/evening, the day before the race, to help put together race packets and fold and organize race t-shirts. Also need race-day volunteers to assist with such activities as race registration, water stops, the finish line, and results tabulation including runners to bring results to the tabulation area.
