The crafter space inside the Community Center is reserved for our quilt show, which showcases new and antique quilts. Most of the quilts are made or owned by members of the Waterford quilter's guild. Quilters are on-hand demonstrating hand-piecing, appliqué, and quilting. They are happy to answer questions about the works and quilting in general and to share information about local quilting organizations and resources.

We are particular about who we accept as craft vendors. Every year, our juried crafts committee sits down to the arduous, but never boring, task of culling through hundreds of applications, photos, and samples of wares. They select crafts that are 100% handmade and, where possible, comprised of natural materials. They seek out works that are creative and original and of the highest quality and workmanship. Lastly, they try to pick a wide variety of different crafts.

The committee also has the pleasure of reviewing the displays at the Bluemont Fair to select the artisan with the most unique craft and best exhibit. Look for the big blue ribbon on their booth at the fair to see who won last year. You can read about the past years’ winners here.
