Now that the dust has settled, the last of the straw bales have been hauled away and our "Village" has been put back to rights, it is not a surprise that attendance was at an all time high.
Our fair seems effortless to the people who attend, and it is all because of the amazing people who come together each year to bring the fair to life. Bluemont has a special quality that is not easily found these days. People come here each year to enjoy the fair, and to experience a way of life we have the privilege of living every day! Thank you to the Bluemont property owners for opening your lawns and fields again this year, without you, there would be no fair.
It is an honor to be a part of an organization within an organization (Bluemont Citizen's Association) that thrives on showing the rest of the world what we witness everyday. On behalf of Sandi and myself, I want to thank Mother Nature (another beautiful weekend), each and every chairperson, landowner, vendor, non-profit organization, special interest group, volunteer and patron of the 40th Annual Bluemont Fair.
To our friends behind the scenes, thank you for giving your time, energy and talents so selflessly for the enjoyment of all that attend the fair. Your ability to adapt, compromise and endure our growing pains has made the 40th Annual Bluemont Fair a success.
